Tip of the Week!
Are you on "Team Edward" or "Team Jacob"?
This certainly seems to be the year of the vampire! More and more books and movies are being produced about these creatures of the night! And the latest is The Twilight Series - Eclipse!
Whenever a book or movie gains huge popularity, invariably a whole line of merchandise comes out, the most popular being t-shirts. You can't help but notice the trend with the Twilight t-shirts, they are VERY popular right now.
And MXM didn't want the plus-sized world to feel left out, so they've designed their own line of "The Twilight Saga - Eclipse" t-shirts in sizes 14+! No more feeling left out just because you wear a size bigger than a 2!
This new Twilight line goes on sale as of June 10! And in the meantime, MXM is running a great contest where you could win a "Red Carpet Experience" for the movie's opening on June 18! (prize value $500)Click on the H&M ad above to be taken to the site to enter the contest and check out all the great plus-sized options! You can look great this summer!
Addicted to dieting?
Is it possible to be addicted to dieting? I always thought if we had an addiction, it was to the food, not to the dieting. And then I ran into an old friend, someone I hadn’t seen in a while, and got into a fascinating conversation, which lead me to today’s topic.
I’ve known this friend for about 7 years now, and during that time, I’ve seen his weight go up and down many times. And on this recent encounter, I noticed that he had shed a few pounds since I’d last seen him. I complimented him on this, and he beamingly replied “Yup, 21 pounds lost, 35 to go!”
Proof that diets don’t work
I’ve known for a long time that dieting doesn’t work for me. And after reviewing the results of last week’s survey, I have to say I am surprised to see that it doesn’t seem to be working for anyone!
If you consider that the goal of dieting isn’t just to get the weight off, but also to keep it off, diets are failing everyone. Yet the “diet industry” is a $55 Billion industry in just the States alone! So why is this happening?
